Adriana works in the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Gender Based Violence Crimes in the State of Mexico.
Former Congresswoman Adriana Hinojosa Céspedes’ special interest in gender equality and the prevention of violence against women and girls has most recently her to focus on fighting gender based crimes in Mexico. With her legal expertise, she works at the municipal and state levels to create and develop public policies that ultimately help women feel safe in the public space.
She was previously the Director of the Women’s Institute in the Municipality of Naucalpan, México. She also currently serves as a Counselor at the Blanca Magrassi Center for Women Studies and the Rafael Preciado Hérnandez Foundation, the think tank for the Partido Acción Nacional, one of Mexico’s three main political parties.
Previously, Adriana was both a state and federal Congresswoman, Director of National Affairs for the Partido Acción Nacional, Project Manager at GEMARK S.C. and Director of Government Relations at Consultores Internacionales CLB. She is a lawyer with a Master’s Degree in Public Politics and Public Administration.
She was selected as a Fellow for the first VV Engage Cohort in 2018-2019.
