Dr. Tashni-Ann Dubroy is a senior advisor at DGA Group, based in Washington, D.C. She specializes in institutional transformation and higher education leadership, focusing on advancing organizational performance and driving innovation.

Dr. Dubroy brings more than 20 years of experience in strategic operations and institutional risk management to DGA Group. Most recently, she served as executive vice president and chief operating officer at Howard University, overseeing facilities, information technology, campus safety and auxiliary services. Under her leadership, Howard improved its financial status with the Department of Education, moving from Heightened Cash Monitoring Level 2 to Level 1 in nine months. She also guided the university through a steam plant crisis and now leads its modernization.

Prior to Howard, Dr. Dubroy was the 17th president of Shaw University, where she was named Female President of the Year by HBCU Digest. Her administration reversed six years of enrollment decline, achieving a 15 percent increase in 2015 and closing a $4 million fundraising gap. These efforts earned her recognition as 2017 CEO of the Year in the Triangle region and a spot on the Triangle Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list.

Dr. Dubroy began her career at BASF, rising to chemical procurement manager with a $35 million budget. She later co-founded Tea and Honey Blends and co-owned Element Beauty Bar, earning features in Money Magazine and BusinessWeek.

Dr. Dubroy earned a doctorate in physical organic chemistry from North Carolina State University and holds an MBA from Rutgers University.
