Patience Landford is the Business Partner within the People Operations Team at Vital Voices. She works closely with the Vice President of People Operations to develop and execute operational systems, processes, and frameworks to ensure seamless support and efficiency to the organization. Additionally, she provides oversight to the global safety and security apparatus for travel deployment among other priority areas within her portfolio.

Prior to joining Vital Voices, Patience was the Deputy Country Director/Head of Programs based in Subsaharan Africa where she played a critical role in designing context rooted and innovative programmatic strategies, policy, and advocacy interventions on human rights with specific focus on women’s rights protection. She understands critical international women’s rights instruments and adapts an inclusive, intersectional analysis,  human rights based, and gender responsive approach to designing theories of change, strategic frameworks, thematic priorities, and implementation strategies. Additionally, she’s a humanitarian expert, who applies a gender in emergency lens to strengthening all cycles of humanitarian actions, from preparedness, response, to recovery support in crises context with extensive rapport working with multilateral systems, bilateral aid partners, embassies, governments, visionary women world leaders, and peer INGOs.
