Maria Rapisarda

Talent Acquisition Specialist

People Operations

Maria Bio

Maria manages the recruitment functions of Vital Voices as the Talent Acquisition Specialist. She supports human resources, matrix team coordination and leads the VV Internship Program. Prior to her role with People Ops, she provided coordination to the Vital Voices Virtual Leadership Journey Workshop on the Leadership and Social Impact Department to amplify women leading change around the world.

Prior to joining Vital Voices, Maria worked as a Research Associate analyzing various disarmament, demobilization and reintegration policies in post-civil war countries. She also has experience supporting various non-profits including the Community Resource Center in Denver, CO and the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition in Nashville, TN. Maria graduated with an MA in International Studies and a concentration in Policy Analysis from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver, and a BA in International Affairs and History from Butler University in Indianapolis. Although originally from Nashville (and happy to recommend the best places for Nashville Hot Chicken), she is always ready to talk about how much she misses Colorado hiking, Aung’s Bangkok Café in Denver and wearing her Chacos to formal events out West.
