Global Network & Regional Engagement
Luma serves as the Program Coordinator for the MENA region on the Global Network and Regional Engagement (GNRE) team at Vital Voices. She brings regional expertise to the Voices Against Violence Initiative and assists with the administration of the Urgent Assistance Fund. Additionally, Luma supports various regions by collaborating across teams, leveraging her knowledge to enhance global impact.
Before joining Vital Voices, Luma worked in Egypt on Gender-Based Violence cases and human rights violations and served as a Dialogue Facilitator and Conflict Negotiator, fostering cross-cultural understanding and engaging communities in meaningful discussions on complex social issues.
Holding a Master’s degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University, Luma is dedicated to advancing peace, inclusion, and justice for women and girls through her ongoing work in peacebuilding and international development.
