Julia is a Program Assistant of Network Engagement on the Global Network and Regional Engagement team at Vital Voices. They are responsible for the Global Mentoring Walks, supporting the Honoree Program, as well as communication and outreach with network leaders.

Before joining Vital Voices, they completed their B.S. in International Business with minors in Leadership Studies and French from the University of Denver. During their undergraduate time, Julia was a Co-Project Manager of a Community Change Initiative in which they partnered with Denver Special Olympics and The Rise School of Denver to increase awareness around the value of a neurodiverse workplace. Their love of language and cross-cultural communication took them to Aix en Provence, France, for a cultural immersion, during which they won the Etienne Gros Prize for Academic Excellence in Literature.

While interning with The Borgen Project, Julia lobbied their congressional leaders to make women’s rights in the developing world more of a priority in U.S. foreign policy, particularly on behalf of bills such as the Keeping Girls in School Act and the Girls LEAD Act, along with COVID equity relief and extreme poverty alleviation legislation. They are also a sexual and gender-based violence hotline advocate for The Blue Bench in Denver.
