Jocelyn is the Program Manager, Rising Voices for the Leadership & Social Impact team at Vital Voices. She works to administer initiatives for young women leaders, activists, entrepreneurs and community organizers across the American continent, including the Voices that Inspire initiative, the Rajendra Foundation Social Impact Fund, and the Rising Voices Clubs. Prior to joining Vital Voices, she earned a doctorate from the University of Michigan where she specialized in literature and transnational, women of color feminisms. She also worked as a professor of International Studies at Texas A&M University where she received an Accountability, Climate, Equity & Scholarship fellowship. She is currently celebrating the publication of her book, based on her research, which is forthcoming with the University of Nebraska Press this November.
