Jiyoung Ostlund

As Staff Accountant at Vital Voices, I am responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records through general ledger management, account reconciliations, and adherence to internal controls and donor compliance requirements. I also support the preparation of financial reports and contribute to the enhancement of financial processes and procedures.

Prior to joining Vital Voices, I served as a Revenue Agent at the Internal Revenue Service, where I conducted audits of individual and business tax returns to ensure compliance with federal tax laws. In this role, I developed strong analytical and investigative skills, interpreting complex tax code and financial data. Before that, I worked as a Staff Accountant at JPA Health, where I was responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with month-end close, and supporting financial reporting. These experiences provided me with a strong foundation in both public and private sector accounting practices.
