Devan is the Development Writer at Vital Voices. In her role on the development team, she drafts sponsorship and donor proposals, prepares donor reports, and crafts one-pagers and communications pieces for current and potential partners.
Prior to joining Vital Voices, Devan worked in communications and operations in the Climate Change Group of the World Bank. She has previously worked at the non-partisan think tank New America, as a freelance writer and editor, and as a speechwriting intern at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. She holds an A.B. in English with a minor in creative writing from Princeton University; an M.Phil. in Modern and Contemporary English Literature from the University of Cambridge; and an M.A. in Media & Public Affairs from the George Washington University.
Born and raised in Canada, Devan is currently based in Montreal, where she spends her free time reading, noodling on the clarinet and guitar, playing recreational ice hockey, and heading to the great Canadian outdoors to snowshoe, ski, hike, and rock climb.
