Program Assistant, Middle East and North Africa for the Human Rights

The Program Assistant, Middle East and North Africa for the Human Rights Team. In this role, I support the Voices Against Violence: The Gender Based Violence Global Initiative with specific focus on providing case management for the urgent assistance component of the program as well as regional and linguistic expertise for the Initiative’s projects. During my over ten-year tenure working with the MENA civil society, I have been part of a small but dynamic team that has built an innovative program from scratch working together for only one mission; gender equality. Feminist, Queer person and proud. Dedicated person with in-depth advocacy, activism, case management experience particularly working with Gender-based Violence survivors in the MENA region. I’m also a co-founder for a queer organization in the Nile Vally, MENA region since 2010.
