Head of the Finance Department, Palestine Investment Fund
Rasha Qawasmi is a leading Palestinian finance expert and one of the most senior female executives in the Palestinian business community. She serves as the Head of the Finance Department at the Palestine Investment Fund (PIF), Palestine’s largest institutional investor with around one billion dollars of assets under management and with diverse investments in key economic sectors such as telecommunications, real estate, energy and SMEs. In her capacity as PIF’s Head of Finance, Rasha is responsible for arranging and structuring various financing facilities to fund PIF’s investments from local banks and international finance institutions. Rasha is also in charge of strategic planning and oversees the preparations of PIF’s strategic and annual business plans. Rasha serves on the Boards of Directors of several leading Palestinian companies, including Asala for Credit and Development, a leading micro-finance lending company specializing in lending to women. Rasha holds a B.A. in accounting from Birzeit University and an EMBA degree from Kellogg School of Management and Recanati School of Management. She is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
