Senior Program Manager, Human Rights
Nicole is a Senior Program Manager for Human Rights at Vital Voices Global Partnership. In this role, she manages the design and implementation of the Justice Institutes on Gender-Based Violence, an innovative training program that aims to facilitate effective, coordinated criminal justice responses to addressing violence against women in countries around the globe. She also manages the Global Freedom Exchange – a fellowship program for anti-trafficking advocates from the United States and around the world. Nicole also contributes to aspects of the Voices Against Violence Initiative, most notably management of technical assistance projects and program sub-grantees.
Nicole has nine years of experience addressing women’s rights and gender-based violence, having worked in the areas of law enforcement, direct legal services, policy advocacy, and program management, on both a domestic and international scale. Prior to re-joining Vital Voices in 2016, Nicole served as prosecutor in Maryland where her caseload included domestic violence and crimes against children. She currently serves as a Pro Bono Protective Order Attorney for women survivors of domestic violence in Maryland. Nicole obtained her J.D. from Boston College Law School and her B.S. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
