Vice President, Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship
Malini Patel is the Vice President of our Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship team. She is responsible for the vision and leadership of our initiatives related to growing women owned small and medium enterprises, and oversees the program’s design, quality and integrity, and financial management.
With 20 years of international development experience, Malini has led teams globally in Europe, the Caucasus, Africa, Middle East, Latin America and the Pacific and has overseen technical programs in small and medium enterprise growth, community development, democracy and governance, advocacy, local and regional economic development, micro-finance and organizational development.
Prior to joining Vital Voices, Malini has held positions in the private, public and civil society sectors in both the domestic and international arena including CHF International (Global Communities) and Peace Corps. She has spoken at conferences and professional training sessions and led the publication of a number of reports. Malini received her Bachelor of Arts from University of Michigan and Masters in Public Administration from New York University’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
