Director of Programs, Human Rights
Jessica J. Leslie is the Director of Programs for Human Rights at Vital Voices. In this role, Jessica manages the Gender-Based Violence Emergency Response and Protection Initiative and leads policy and advocacy work on human trafficking and gender-based violence. Over the last ten years, she has held positions in a range of organizations from the very grassroots level to large international development institutions, and in regions of Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and South East Asia. Jessica has authored several publications on issues of education and human trafficking, and she is passionate about gender equality and rights-based international development. Jessica received her B.A. in International Studies from the University of Washington, a Graduate Certificate in Law from Sciences-Po Paris, an M.A. in International Relations and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University.
