Today, with the results of the United States Presidential election clear, many from across our Global Network of more than 20,000 women changemakers are asking what this outcome means for them and for every woman around the world.
Our mission transcends any single moment, country, or leader. Throughout our 27-year history, one truth has remained clear: progress is about collective action. We must join together to dismantle barriers, confront injustice, and advance bold, lasting solutions. Across continents, the remarkable leaders in our network are championing sustainable change, proving that women’s leadership is essential to building strong, resilient communities. The strength that comes from the dedication and solidarity of our network is an unstoppable global force for positive change.
We believe today, now and more than ever, that the voices and actions of women leaders cannot and will not be silenced. We are united in our singular mission to support women leaders taking on the world’s greatest challenges– from the climate crisis to peace and security to reproductive freedom.
In times that seem dark, we look to the bold leaders across our network for guidance and strength. Women leaders who faced down the most challenging times like Mimosa Kusari-Lila, a member of parliament in Kosovo, who said, “We’re entering another challenging phase, but there’s no turning back—only forward for all of us.”
Tonight, Vice President Kamala Harris reminded us of an old adage: “Only when it is dark enough, can you see the stars…let us fill the sky with the light of optimism, faith, truth, and service” because, as she said, “it is not time to throw up our hands, it’s time to roll up our sleeves.” For nearly 3 decades, we’ve seen precisely this, from the women leaders who we support- and it inspires us forward.
If you know a woman who needs to hear this today, please share it.
In Solidarity,
