Lawino Vanessa Faith is a dedicated eco-feminist driving innovative solutions at the intersection of gender and climate change. She advocates for climate action, gender equality, and sustainable energy transition, striving to amplify women’s voices in climate decision-making and contribute to a circular economy. She is the Co-Founder of EcoErudites Uganda, a pioneering clean energy company dedicated to accelerating the energy transition in Uganda through availing and promotion of biogas as a cooking fuel.
With three years of experience in climate advocacy, Lawino has volunteered with initiatives promoting climate awareness and women’s empowerment. She led a team that developed an innovative solution turning water hyacinth into biogas, winning the 2023 UNICEF Youth Innovation Challenge. Lawino also initiated a project skilling 30 young girls and feminists in climate-conscious practices.
