Habiba Ajufoh founded Community Advocate for Rural Development (CARD), a non-profit organization that promotes socio-economic development at the grassroots level. With a MA in Public Health and over 11 years of experience working with non-governmental organizations,  she has been instrumental in advocating for equal rights and opportunities for women and girls. Her work focuses on livelihood empowerment for women and girls, basic education, renewable energy, and sustainable environments.

Through her leadership, CARD has implemented various projects,  addressing gender-based violence and creating awareness about women’s rights. Ajufoh has also led initiatives to eradicate energy poverty by empowering women with clean energy businesses and improving access to quality education for children. Her dedication to advocacy and capacity building has enabled marginalized women to become self-sufficient and respected members of society.

“As a visionary leader, she continues to influence decision-makers and transform ideologies in favor of women, girls, youths, and children.”
