Denise Ayebare

Focus Areas

Denise Ayebare is the Founder and Executive Director of BetterLife International Organization, a youth-led non-profit that empowers climate-vulnerable communities across Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, and Ghana. The organization promotes sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, and inclusive development through initiatives like the Soilla App, Green Libraries, Eco Labs, and the SMILES program supporting refugee and host communities.

Ayebare is a lawyer, climate activist, and currently serves as the Youth Presidential Advisor on climate change to the President of Uganda. She has also served as the 5th Prime Minister of the National Youth Parliament. Denise has worked with institutions, such as the African Union, IGAD, and the African Women’s Alliance on peacebuilding, gender justice, and transitional governance. She has represented youth at global events including COP27, COP28, COP29 and other Climate Conferences.
