Chilufya Kasanda

Focus Areas

Kasanda is planning an initiative, Ascend Youth Zambia, dedicated to empowering the youths of Zambia through education, health, mentorship, community engagement to foster personal growth, leadership, and positive change. Her vision is to create a thriving, equitable, inclusive society where the youth have the opportunity and support to reach their full potential and become catalysts for positive change in their communities. 

Kasanda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies and Sociology from the University of Zambia and is pursuing her Master of Arts in Human Rights, Governance, and Development from the University of Zambia. She serves as a Chair for the Young Women HIV Prevention Council, Board Member of the African Women Prevention Community Accountability Board, and is a member of the Global Community Advisory Group for the INSIGHT study and the Long Acting PrEP Coalition.
