In 2015, while Syrian refugees were struggling to find work in Lebanon, Aline Sara was finding ways to practice her Arabic skills and came up with the idea for NaTakallam. Her business model, to hire refugees as online tutors, has grown into a larger social enterprise working in multiple languages and communities. Aline has overseen the growth of NaTakallam from a small startup to a globally recognized social enterprise that has distributed over $3,200,000 in self-earned income to refugees, displaced people, and host communities.
