03/12/2018 - Wave Goodbye to Dinosaurs U.S. Premiere
Wave Goodbye to Dinosaurs vividly shows the extraordinary story of the Northern Ireland Women’s Coalition, a cross-community party formed in 1996 that went on to win two seats at the historic peace talks. On the 20th anniversary of Northern Ireland’s Good Friday Agreement, this timely and inspiring film is a compelling example of how grassroots activism can bring about real change.
The event will feature a catered reception, film screening, and lively discussion with the film’s director, Eimhear O’Neill, and Women’s Coalition founding members Kate Fearon and Bronagh Hinds, moderated by Ambassador Melanne Verveer.
All guests must RSVP at bit.ly/WGTDPremiere to be guaranteed a seat.
On behalf of Vital Voices and our co-hosts Ambassador Melanne Verveer; Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace, and Security; Peace is Loud; Irish American Democrats; and the British Embassy, we hope to see you soon at this special event.
