08/02/2017 -Airbnb HQ Hosts Human Rights Team for Interactive Training

Airbnb hosted the Vital Voices Council of the Bay Area at their San Francisco headquarters for an interactive activity led by Nicole Hauspurg and Jennifer Guzman of the Vital Voices Human Rights team. Nicole and Jennifer guided the Council through a roleplaying activity utilized in each of Justice Institute on Gender Based Violence – an interactive training program that facilitates the creation of a holistic response to violence against women that focuses on victim safety and offender accountability. During the activity, individuals were assigned roles (ranging from a police officer to a judge to a social worker) and had to imagine they were part of a multidisciplinary team that was working together to identify information about the case they needed in order to make a more informed decision about how to charge the case, how to prove the case, and how to assist the victim.
