In early 2022 we will be opening the first ever Global Headquarters for Women’s Leadership, a 30,000+ sq. ft. historic building just blocks from the White House on 16th Street. It will be a hub of activity, events, and collaborations — bringing together women leaders and their allies to tackle the world’s greatest challenges.


As the Sr. Manager, Strategic Partnerships, you are a highly organized relationship builder with a keen eye for detail and passion for providing outstanding customer service. You project manage partnership deliverables and cultivate corporate partners to deepen their connection to our work.

The Sr. Manager, Strategic Partnerships will report directly to the Sr. Director, Strategic Partnerships and work collaboratively with members of the Development, Communications, and Programming teams, as well as across the organization. This position is based in Washington, DC though it’s remote through February 2022 due to the ongoing pandemic.

  • Project Development: Work with the rest of the Development team to craft business plans and project plans with corporate partners. Analyse and report on partner initiatives, forecast for strategic changes and report on key metrics.
  • Project Implementation & Management: Work closely with the Sr. Director, Strategic Partnerships to ensure the timely and successful execution of contract deliverables cited and promised in contractual agreements.  Cultivate partners by ensuring a consistent and relevant engagement strategy, including through VV events.
  • Relationship Management: Serve as a point of contact for key internal and external stakeholders, liaising with other departments to ensure account fulfillment and ultimately work toward partnership renewal and/or scaling partnership engagement.
  • Communication: External facing communication lead to keep partners apprised of partnership updates and progress. Manage the development of qualitative impact and stewardship reports, program updates, etc.
  • Finance & Operations: prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely, with the assistance of the Fundraising & Operations Team
  • Events: pre-planning for and developing post-event nurture content at networking events to drive scale with key partners
  • DE&I: Model the Vital Voices commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to disrupt and evolve systems and behaviors that negatively impact women and BIPOC employees and network.

Supervisory Requirements: None


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, sales, marketing, or business development
  • 3-5-years of proven working experience in a fast-paced, results-oriented sales or marketing environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communications skills
  • Proven work experience in nonprofit corporate partnerships and/or fundraising
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM system
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and consistently deliver high quality work in a fast-paced environment with positive attitude and grace under pressure
  • Attention to detail and customer-oriented attitude
  • Proactive, creative, and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Collaborative team player with diplomatic temperament
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to respond flexibly and graciously to unanticipated requests and assignments

This position is a full-time, exempt position based in Washington, DC. Vital Voices does not provide work visa sponsorship or relocation assistance for this position.

The starting salary range for this position is $71,000 based on experience and ability to have broad impact early. The compensation package includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k match, and generous PTO including wellness flex days, generous parental leave, sabbatical time and volunteer leave as well as short- and long-term disability, life insurance, HSA, EAP, and a professional development stipend.
