Voices of Resilience: A Conversation with Rara Reines

Rara joined Vital Voices President and CEO Alyse Nelson and Vital Voices Program Manager Kristen McAvoy to discuss GroundBreakers’s innovative new community resource map, connecting people to critical information during the COVID-19 crisis.

To start the conversation, Alyse, Rara and Kristen discuss how young people are going to work to change the world. Rara explained what GroundBreakers does and how they operate under normal circumstances, and a little bit about some of the “groundbreakers” the organization has worked with, as well as what they are doing during these unusual times, including a map of resources they have made that can be useful for individuals during the Coronavirus pandemic. Rara also explains how her team was able to move so quickly and how to jump into crisis support.
