March 2020 – Karla Ruiz Cofiño is a digital strategist and social media specialist, entrepreneur, speaker, social activist, and woman advocate. Karla developed her own curriculum called the Digital Awareness Program, which is focuses on the gap between the common uses of social media and real-world needs to help people better “digital citizens” and positively contribute to our online interactions. Karla joined the podcast to discuss how coronavirus is impacting Guatemala and offer tips to make kids responsible digital users while building their critical thinking skills.

Karla and Alyse discuss how women entrepreneurs in Guatemala are doing with the Coronavirus pandemic, how technology plays a role in today’s new social distancing society and what is giving her hope in these uncertain times. They emphasize the importance of building good will, and every day trying to do something good for people.
