Next week, the 2018 Vital Voices (VV) GROW Fellowship team is heading to Dublin, Ireland to be joined by 40 exceptional women business owners from 29 countries around the world. Now in its fifth year, this leading global accelerator for women owners of small and medium sized businesses is made possible with the support of the ExxonMobil Foundation – Global Founding Partner, and FedEx – Platinum Sponsor.
After 4 intensive months of Virtual Training including webinars, homework assignments, peer calls and coaching calls with expert trainers, the 2018 VV GROW Fellowship has completed the first phase of the 12-month program. Fellows have assessed the current state of their business and leadership, identified opportunities for growth, and defined specific business growth goals.
Next up, during the In-Person Training in Dublin, fellows will apply what they’ve learned in the Virtual Training to develop their business action plan for growth. 2015-2016 fellow Karin Sempf reflected on the impact of the In-Person training, sharing that “It is a life-changing opportunity. It is a journey of self-discovery. The program is structured to lead us by the hand to where we are going.”
At the end of the 4 days, fellows will also have made long-lasting connections with other program participants, Vital Voices staff, partners and guests. As 2015-2016 fellow Massa Delgamouni shared about the impact of growing her network after attending the In-Person training, “Being exposed to other women facing what you’re facing – this is impactful. It’s a great support system, and I’m using the connections in the business.”
