#MeToo

“These silence breakers have started a revolution of refusal, gathering strength by the day, and in the past two months alone, their collective anger has spurred immediate and shocking results.” The “Silence Breakers” have been named TIME’s Person of the Year 2017.

GLOBAL AMBASSADORS PROGRAM

We know how hard it is to work ‘on’ your business rather than ‘in’ it. With our partner, Bank of America, the Global Ambassadors Program heads to New York City from March 19-23, and we’re now accepting Mentee applications. GAP connects extraordinary women leaders to a unique mentorship opportunity, including one-on-one mentoring and strategic workshops focused on building organizational management, financial acumen and leadership skills.

PRIDE FOR PROGRAMMING

The sixth annual International Alumnae Component was held in Accra, Ghana on November 13-16.  The program serves as a follow-up to the Fortune-U.S. Department of State Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership by bringing an American mentor and trainer to an international country to engage with previous program participants. Check out this staff authored blog by Shereen Tewfik.

“WE HAD TO TRY TO SAVE THEM”

Check out this story of impact from Dr. Morissanda Kouyaté, a long time ally for women & girls in Guinea. Dr. Kouyaté recently partnered with the Vital Voices’ Human Rights team to co-host the Second West Africa Convening to End FGM/C in Conakry, and is calling on more men to join the fight to end female genital mutilation/cutting.
