Lana Dajani

MENA Businesswomen's Network Middle East and North Africa Economic Empowerment

Change. Improve. Develop. These are values that Lana Dajani not only believes in, but also works on.

“I believe that a person should add value to everything that s/he does, whether at work or in life, and as part of that belief I work in a field where I can introduce change, enhance the working environment for people and develop the organization through systems that will serve the company and employees,” said Lana, a professional with over 15 years of experience in the fields of Organization Development and Human Resources.

Lana, who is currently Director of HR and Organization Development at Saraya Holdings, creates and develops systems that will capitalize on people's strength and identify their areas for improvement. She wants others to become more passionate about what they do.

What inspires her mostly is being able to improve people’s lives and offer them opportunities to build a better future. However, this takes time and patience for results to show, since improving lives is directly linked to changing the way people think and motivating them to develop and advance. It is sometimes frustrating to face resistance to change, she said.

Lana is also the Treasurer of the Middle East and North Africa Businesswomen’s Network (MENA BWN) and a member of its Jordan hub, the Business and Professional Women’s Association. “Throughout my career I was lucky enough to be exposed to the MENA BWN, a network that I felt was in line with my beliefs and what I look forward to achieving,” Lana says.

Lana says that as a person and a professional, she is continuously learning and improving. She hopes that over time, she will have an impact on others. “I believe in the power of people and their ability to add value if they were given the right opportunities that fits their different capabilities,” she said. “I would like to know that I have influenced others positively to take charge of their lives and improve them.”
