Gladys Zarak
Mentoring
The 2008 inaugural Mentoring Walk in Lima, Peru was Gladys Zarak’s first step in creating a collaborative space to foster women’s leadership.
Gladys has always had a passion for movement, which led her to become production manger for D-1 Dance, a company that stages highly-acclaimed musicals. She took this passion for art and movement and applied it to her desire to create opportunity and social change for the disadvantaged young women she saw living on the streets in Lima.
Now executive director of Angeles/D1, Gladys reaches out to the Peru’s next generation through the nonprofit she manages, an organization that capitalizes on young people’s natural abilities in dance, acrobatic and the performing arts to improve their economic situation.
Her knowledge of the Peruvian market is taking Gladys far. She is using her business skills in marketing to promote various educational, technological and health products, expanding her business and nonprofit ventures.
