Entrepreneurs in Handcrafts Africa Economic Empowerment

After participating in the 2009 Vital Voices Entrepreneurs in Handcrafts Training Program in Kenya, Doron was motivated to take part in numerous trade shows. She connected with local entrepreneuers interested in Fair Trade through through the Swaziland Fair Trade network (SWIFT). Doron made additional contacts while assisting with the Cooperation for Fair Trade in Africa (COFTA) fashion show on World Fair Trade Day. 

Now, she networks at a whole new level, making crucial connections with people who have the resources to improve her business. In six short months, her ever-expanding network has helped double her sales, secure two new South African exporting agents, a new agent in the UK, and an American distributor. Networking is essential to capacity building, and for Doron, it has translated into positive outcomes for her design business.
